Friends and Advocates

A library can never have too many friends! The Forsyth County Public Library Friends and Advocates are an independent, not-for-profit organization. Since 1995, members of the organization are dedicated to raising funds that support programs, resources, materials, and staff at the library.

FCPL Friends and Advocates operate used bookstores inside the Cumming Library, the Post Road Library, and the Sharon Forks Library during regular library hours.

Funds raised from book sales, membership fees, and other donations are used to support additional programs, materials, and events beyond the library's regular budget.

Please visit the Friends and Advocates book donations page for information.

FCPL Friends and Advocates sponsors Forsyth Reads Together and helped bring best-selling author Martha Hall Kelly to our community.

FCPL Friends and Advocates support library events throughout the year.

FCPL Friends and Advocates enrich our community through outreach and raise funds that support programs, resources, materials, and staff at the library.

Volunteers are the heart of the FCPL Friends and Advocates.
