We bring the library to you!
Forsyth County Public Library strives to serve the entire Forsyth County community by offering library programs and services that strengthen and improve the quality of life for our users beyond the walls of our library buildings. From visits to senior living facilities and schools to attending community events, we make sure Forsyth County Public Library is accessible for everyone. Our Outreach Team specializes in taking the library on the road, creating custom programs and activities for all ages.

Community Events
Bring together joy and learning with a special visit from the Bookmobile at your next community event!
We offer library card registration, library resources, and fun activities at community events such as festivals, charity events, and heritage celebrations.
School, Daycare, and Summer Camp Visits
From storytimes to Career Day visits, the Forsyth County Public Library can bring the library to your classroom!
Our Outreach Team would love to visit your students to share stories and explore resources to help them succeed in their education.
Informational Visits
Are you looking for a speaker for your next club meeting or community group gathering? Look no further than Forsyth County Public Library. Our professional staff is available to share information about free library resources available to cardholders, from genealogy research to career resources and everything in between.
Senior Programs and Services
Our Outreach Team delivers services to senior centers and assisted living communities throughout Forsyth County.
Lobby Stops
Our mobile lobby stop service provides full access to FCPL’s collection with a different browsing selection of books every month. Personal requests of specific items including books, audiobooks, DVDs, and magazines can also be delivered. In addition to the delivery of personal requests, our staff offers knowledgeable, one-on-one service and technology assistance with eReaders and library resources.
Golden Hour with the Library
Golden Hour with the Library is an innovative and interactive program for individuals living in assisted care facilities. During these one-hour visits, seniors have the opportunity to participate and reminisce through multi-sensory stimulation with images, songs, games, object interaction, and interesting facts about each program’s topic and/or destination.
Mailbox Books
Forsyth County Public Library can mail materials directly to your home if you are unable to visit the library. The Mailbox Books program offers you the convenience of receiving and returning materials in a postage-paid mail pouch.
This service is open to Forsyth County Public Library patrons who:
- Have a permanent or temporary disability or medical condition that prevents a person from visiting the library.
- Reside in a nursing care or assisted living facility, whether on a temporary or permanent basis.
- Have other health conditions that make a person unable to visit the library.
Pick out your own books or we can make selections for you based on your preferences. Our Outreach Services team is dedicated to making sure you receive the materials you want when you want them. Mailbox Books customers have access to all materials currently available for checkout from the library:

Request a Visit
Our calendar fills up quickly. To best accommodate you, please provide as much advance notice as possible for your event.
Requirements:
- School, event, or community group must be in or working in Forsyth County, GA.
- Community events or festivals must have free admission.
- We book on a first come, first served basis, but will do our best to accommodate as many groups or events as we can on the same day.
- We request at least two weeks notice of your event.
